Matthew 24:33-51
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near,
even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these
things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but
my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into
the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also
the coming f the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other
left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the
other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch
the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his
house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of
man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler
over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so
doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his
coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the
drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him,
and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
If the Lord called His church home today, would you meet the Lord in the air, or would you be left behind? Are you ready to meet the Lord today? Are you ready to meet the Lord this very hour? Are there secrets in your life that should be covered by the blood of Jesus but aren't? These questions should be on the mind of every Christian. Every Christian should examine himself daily to see if he is really ready to meet the Lord when He comes.
But, many Christians are not ready to meet the Lord. They have secret sins that will be over looked. They are not living the life that Christ expects them to live. They think that as long as they are not exposed, then God will not see. They think that since no one is perfect, then they have an excuse. But God is not mocked!
Galatians 6:7-9
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall
he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he
that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if
we faint not.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be
not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God.
There are many that are deceiving themselves, thinking that they can sow to the flesh and still enter into the gates of heaven. How many have been deceived by the lies of Satan, thinking that God will forgive them and that they are eternally forgiven. How many think that God understands and will allow liars, adulterers, thieves, abortioners and all unrighteousness into his holy home. How many have been deceived that they can continue living their unrighteous lifestyle and still enter into a holy paradise? The lie of ``eternal security'' comes from the very pits of Hell. Men have used this damnable doctrine to justify their sin. They have used this to say that though they continue to live in sin, they still will enter into heaven, where there is no sin. How can people be so deceived?
People want to believe that they are going to heaven irregardless of their lifestyle. They want to believe that God is a fool, allowing all unrighteousness into his home. There are many that will stand before Jesus the judge attempting to justify themselves.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom
of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy
name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful
works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.
How many will be caught unaware, and be cast into a lake of fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. How many will find themselves in the hands of a God telling them that he never knew them? How many will find themselves in the hands of an angry God? If you are not ready for Jesus to call you home today, then now is the time to make yourself ready for the coming of the Lord. Now is the hour of salvation. Now is the moment to turn your life around and walk with the Lord Jesus. Now is the time to seek the Lord with your whole heart and ask the Lord to become your Lord and master. What are you waiting for? The day of salvation is now! The hour of salvation is Now! If Jesus came today, would you be ready.
Now is the time to repent and turn from your unrighteousness. Now is the time to seek the Lord with your whole heart. If there are areas in your life that you are ashamed of, and they have a hold on you, ask Jesus to take away your wicked desires. Ask Jesus for help, and he will cleanse your heart and even take away the desire for wickedness. He has done it for me, and he will do it for you.
