This past week there was reported the sacrifice of goats near West Chester, Pennsylvania. The ``authorities'' called in a professor from University of Pennsylvania who teaches the occult. This professor claimed that the sacrifice was done on one of the most sacred days in the occult called May's eve, which is the evening before May 1. What concerns me is the teaching of the occult at a major university, whereas the teaching of Christianity is condemned. Also the teaching of Satanism is seems to be endorsed by the powers to be!
The letter that I shared with you in last weeks sermon, ``Who Is Satan,'' from a young man in man in Indonesia insinuated that he knew very little about Christianity or the Bible. But he wanted to know what a Christian thought about Satan. He was instructed to write about Satan! Wouldn't it have been better for the teacher to instruct the class to write about something good instead of the personification of total evil? I can imagine this teacher instructing her class about the so called evils of the religious right. Or the teacher might inquirer of the students what is wrong with Satan attempting to better himself? She could use the exact same quote from the Bible that I used.
Isaiah 14:12-13
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Can you see a non Christian asking what is wrong with Satan trying to better his position? They will say something like, ``He was only trying to better his situation.'' When I was attending public school the teachers would pose questions to us where we could not answer in a Christian manor. She would say something starting with wouldn't it be better for a child to be raised with loving parents than with parents who just made a mistake and were forced to bring up a child she didn't want? Then the teacher would expound upon the merits of abortion. This kind of teaching will lead an unwary student to believe all of the lies of Satan. Look at how many people believe everything that Bill Clinton tells them. Even though he has admitted lying to the Congress and the people of America the majority still believe his wicked lies. They have been conditioned from childhood that there are no absolute truths and that everything is based upon the present situation.
So now we come to the present situation where the news is talking about the increase in Satanism around the world. This increase in Satanism is the result of a concerted effort by Satan and his followers to deceive the world with situation ethics.
Situation ethics is a lie of Satan where you are not given all of the facts, so your decision is based on a lot of half truths. Without all of the facts you cannot decide either yes or no. An example of going to a restaurant and looking at the menu. Here you have a huge list of items where you are only to choose one. What you do is read the menu one item at a time choosing either yes or no. Sometimes there is a possible answer. After you have gone through the whole menu, you go over the ones that you rated possible and make our final decision upon what you are going to eat. What I am saying is that you don't look at the menu as a whole, but go through it line by line deciding no for everything except the final choice.So the decision making process is based upon either yes or no. There are no gray areas in the decision making process like we were taught in school. You boil it down to a yes or no process you need to be able to break down the decision making process to very small choices.
For instance in the abortion debate, is it considered murder immediately after delivery? Isn't it still murder one minute before delivery? Is a fetus a baby that hasn't been born? But we have been taught that a fetus is not a baby. I ask what is the difference? We have been taught that abortion is not murder, but killing a one second old baby is. What is the difference? We were taught that is is better that we kill an unwanted fetus rather than to bring it into a world where it is not wanted. Isn't it still murder?
The Bible tells us that in the last days Satan's devils will be unleashed upon the world to reek their havoc.
Revelation 9:14
14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
Revelation 16:12-15
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
2 Timothy 3:1
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
We are living in the days where people would rather believe a lie than hear the truth. We are living in the age where the most wicked and basest of men rule the earth. The American way is to seek and destroy anyone who speaks out against the state. Just this past week there was recaps of Kent State, Viet Nam, Waco, and even the Move bombing. All of this was related with the Elian stuff going on. Also, protesters who are against abortion are rounded up and thrown into jail. We definitely live in the era where good is called evil and evil good.
Isaiah 5:20
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
2 Timothy 3:1-7
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Is it any wonder that Satanism is on the rise today? Is it any wonder that the wickedness that we see in the world is increasing at an accelerated rate? People are openly practicing witchcraft, and devil worship around the world today, whereas in the past the followers of Satan kept to themselves and did their wicked deeds in secret.
