With the Presidential election just a couple of months away I feel that it is time to look at the candidates and where they stand on the issues. The two major web sites for the campaign are the Democratic Al Gore's web site http://www.algore2000.com/, and Republican George Bush's web site http://www.georgewbush.com/.
As you can see from a reading of the web sites there is a vast philosophical difference between the Republicans and Democrats. The history of the Republican Party dates back to before the Civil War where a new political party was formed with the belief of freedom for the people. The Republican party was at that time the third party vying to become a major party and they took the position of emancipation for the slaves.

The Republican party evolved during the 1850's when the issue of slavery forced divisions within the existing Whig and Democratic-Republican parties. A new party dedicated to states' rights and a restricted role of government in economic and social life began making history.
Alan Earl Bovay, one of the founders of the Republican Party, believed a new party should be formed to represent the interests of the North and the abolitionists. He decided to call that party "Republican" because it was a simple yet significant word synonymous with equality. Thomas Jefferson had earlier chosen "Republican" to refer to his party, which gave the name respect bearing historical significance.
Evidence indicates there were several groups across the country that met to discuss the formation of a new party. Thus, the location of the first meeting has been disputed. It is known that Whig Party defectors met privately in February 1854, in Crawfordsville, Iowa, to call for the creation of a new political party. The first public meeting was held in March of 1854 at a small church in Ripon, Wisconsin, where Alan Bovay rallied anti-slavery forces and adopted resolutions opposing the Kansas-Nebraska act.
A second meeting was held in a one story schoolhouse in Ripon on March 20, 1854. Fifty-four citizens, including three women, dissolved their local committees and chose five men to serve as the committee of the new party: Alan Bovay, Jebediah Bowen, Amos Loper, Abram Thomas and Jacob Woodruff. Said Mr. Bovay, "We went into the little meeting Whigs, Free Soilers and Democrats. We came out as the first Republicans in the Union."
In July of the same year, the "Anti-Nebraska Convention" met in a grove of oak trees in Jackson, Michigan to write a national platform and concentrate its efforts to counter the Democrat's plan to extend slavery to new territories. The new party adopted a platform, nominated candidates for state offices, and produced two anti-slavery resolutions, one of which stated, ``Resolved ... in view of the necessity of battling against the scemes of an aristocracy, the most revolting and oppressive with which the Earth was ever cursed or man debased, we will cooperate and be known as Republicans.''
In 1856, ``Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Speech, Free Man, Fremont!'' was the slogan of the Republican Party. At its first national convention in Philadelphia, the party nominated John C. Fremont for president (Abraham Lincoln was proposed as vice-president, but Senator William L. Dayton won the nomination). Although the party lost the election to the Democrats, it captured a third of the total vote, boosting its optimism for the 1860 elections.
Now the History of the Democratic Party even in the 1860's was doing their utmost to keep slavery. Even today they are devising new ways to make you the slave of the state. One of the easiest ways to get and keep slaves is to make them totally dependent upon you. If you look at Vice president Gore's page you will see that he wants to increase the size of the government welfare programs, Medicare and social security. Many are totally dependent on these programs and will do everything in their power to maintain the status quo. But there is a danger in these programs where the state will eventually make you accept a debit card to have access to what they call your money. This has already worked very well here in Pennsylvania with the Access card issued to welfare recipients. The government controls where the money is spent and also controls what can be bought. Eventually this same debit card process will be incorporated into the Federal Government subsidies.
Eventually the Federal Government will tell the recipients that they will have to receive an implant to replace the debit card. Of course this will be first implemented upon the poor welfare recipients as a test case and then upon the rest of the population. Though this is not sold as slavery, but as helping, the day is coming where the politicians will exact their due on the American people. This is a long process where the government causes everyone to be dependent upon the government and then will threaten to take it away unless they give up their rights. The Democrats have been working on this system of enslaving the entire country since they lost the Civil War.
That last statement was a curve ball and the real Civil War was against the Republicans and the Southern Democrats who were doing their best to keep slavery. Now they have devised a method and a system to have the population become slaves of the state. Now the Republican Party has fallen from their lofty ideals and they now sound the same as the Democrats. So when either party says that they are going to make the ``Social Security Trust Fund'' stable for future generations, you know that there is no trust fund. All of the FICA taxes get deposited into the general fund, and there is no trust fund. So the Republicans have joined the Democrats in the most diabolical program to make a country totally dependent on the state.
Of course this will lead to world domination by one diabolical ruler called the Antichrist.

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Most of the items in this chapter have already been implemented in the computer science community. MIT's AI has been working on the image of the beast with a government grant. Please see In 1998 I wrote a sermon about a project that a doll could great you by name, keep track of visitors, and hold intelligent conversations with the occupants in the room. This project put a Linux computer into a soft penguin doll and was linked via infra red light to a national central computer. Virtually, this ``toy'' seemed alive. It could talk, hear, and see. As many of you know the chips that can be implanted under the skin have already been made. So when you vote for a president in the fall elections, don't be persuaded by the ones who are telling you that they are giving you the most from the government.
