The Beginning

Genesis 1:1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The Bible starts out with in the beginning God... Before there was anything in this present universe; solar systems, galaxies, black holes, nebula, and many other things that we can see and observe there was God. Now God does not exist in the same dimension of space and time as we. God exists in a realm where there is no time. No space time continuum. in a realm where the end is known from the beginning. Whereas we live in a realm that is dictated by time. We only know what our past is and not our future. The realm that God lives in with the angels everyone knows the end from the beginning. This is a marvelous place that is called heaven. This is a place where there are no private thoughts, and everyone knows what the other is thinking before the thought even emerges. This is a place where there are no secrets and no ``white lies'' for when your thoughts are known, there is no space left for any lies.

When looked at a place where time has no meaning and the end is created from the beginning, the phrase, ``In the beginning'' takes on a whole new meaning. Whereas we measure the creation in our perspective of space and time, the phrase, ``In the beginning,'' now means that before anything was, before any universe, before time, before any dimension, there was God. With this perspective, God created the angels with his same knowledge and perspective on time. In other words, when the devil was complaining to Jesus that it wasn't the time for him to be committed to hell, he knows when the right time is for his final demise.

Matthew 8:28-34

28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
33 And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
34 And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

When Jesus cast out the devil in these two, they enquired if they were going to be tormented before the appointed time. In other words they know when is the time that they are to be condemned to the lake of fire. They know how much time that they have before their demise. They don't know the exact day or hour, but they do know when the end is supposed to come for them. The Bible tells us that the exact day and hour of the return of the Lord Jesus, the rapture of the saints, and etc. is reserved only for the Father. As far as I can determine this is the only secrete in heaven.

Matthew 24:36-51

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Heaven is not the place where petty secrets are kept, but only the one that will tell the wicked the day to repent. Those who are against the Lord Jesus will still try to enter heaven by saying and pleading all kinds of things like:

Matthew 7:22-23

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Apparently, the angels and demons know approximately the day of the Lord's return and when they will be incarcerated in hell, but the exact day and hour is reserved only for the Father. We also know the signs of the times and the events that precede the coming of the Lord, but the exact day no one knows. But we are on a journey to a realm where time shall be no more

When the Roll Is Called up Yonder
by J. M. Black

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound,
and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved on Earth shall gather
over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.

As you can see the old hymn that we sing tells of heaven as being a place where time is irrelevant. Can you imagine the non believer locked up in a realm of darkness and torment where there is no time? Can you imagine being able to advance at will all the way to the future and all the way back into time only to see that the short time you spent on the Earth sentenced you to eternity in torment. Whereas the Christian who holds fast to the end and meets the Lord and Savior in the air will rejoice in a realm of total bliss. When you enter the realm where time is no more, where will you be? Will you be in the realm of total bliss or in the realm of torment and shame? If you don't know the Lord Jesus, isn't it time to seek him with all your heart? The day of the Lord is coming soon. The signs of the times dictate that the day and the hour of his return is soon at hand. Now is the hour to ask the Lord into your life. Now is the time to truly repent and ask the Lord's forgiveness. The choice where you spend eternity is determined upon your actions here on the Earth. Repentance will mean that you can spend eternity in a realm of peace and bliss. Won't you repent today?
