We are living in an environment where teenage girls walk around with explosives strapped to them and blow up not only themselves, but everyone else around them. In the community where they are from they are held in high esteem and are considered martyrs who will immediately go to heaven. In today's Jerusalem Post there is an article titled, EYE ON THE MEDIA: Depending on your 'point of view' about how the press in various parts of the world treats the events in Israel. The media selectively chooses to leave portions of the story untold depending on what they want to accomplish with their story. This article is a prime example of how media bias works. Here are the last three paragraphs of the above article.
The larger failing of Hammer's story, however, lies in the basic narrative choice of playing this as an Akhras versus Levy story. For whatever your view on the vexed subject of martyrdom or murder, the supermarket bombing was not a one-for-one deal. There was a second victim, security guard Haim Smadar. The Israeli press has given him his due, as does Etgar Lefkovits's story in today's Jerusalem Post magazine. But in the West, he doesn't count: his presence interrupts the happy fictive symmetries of its political imagination. So a word about Haim Smadar.
He was a father of five. Two of his children are deaf. He had been married for more than 30 years. He made a security guard's salary. He prided himself on his alertness. He received a commendation last year from Mayor Ehud Olmert for his diligence. His knowledge of Arabic - he was born in Tunisia - may have alerted him to the danger posed by Akhras. Witnesses attest that his last words, as he struggled to stop Akhras from entering the supermarket were, "You are not coming in here. You and I will blow up here." He may have saved 12 or 20 or 30 lives, or more.
SINCE NEITHER Joshua Hammer nor Joel Greenberg saw fit to say this in their published reports, let me say this in mine: God bless Rachel Levy and Haim Smadar. May their memory be a blessing.
I felt that these last three paragraphs of the story referenced above needed to be told.
What kind of society would raise their young to kill themselves along with others. What makes a society this sick, where murder, murders, and suicide is held in high esteem. This is an example of a society who is totally under the control of Satan and his Demons.
I am not just picking on the Arab community, but it is the condition all over the world. Today abortion is considered the primary method of birth control. We now offer a morning after pill to kill the baby growing in the womb. Any society, any religion, or any community that teaches death, murder, and suicide is totally under the domain of Satan. Satan controls all of the nations of the world!
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Is it any wonder that the nations of the world are waring against each other and that death, murder, and suicide is now becoming the norm? When Satan is in charge of the nations of the world all you have is death, gloom, and destruction. There is no peace, joy and love in the world when the world is controlled by the devil.
With all that is going on the world with doom and gloom, there is hope for the Christian. The Christian, who has the fruit of the Spirit is filled with:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
At the present time Satan is hard at work with escalating the destruction and horrors that we are seeing for he knows that his time is short. He also knows that the short reign of primary ruler which the Bible calls the Antichrist will culminate with his banishment and the nations of the world being under the control of the Lord.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
It will be worth it in the end when the nations of the world will become the nations of our Lord. What a great and glorious time it will be for those who love the Lord today.
