Vol. VI Number 38 | October 6, 2002 |
We sing a song that has the lyrics, ``Jesus is my savior, I shall not be moved.'' These lyrics denote a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ that says you will stay with the Lord no matter what coes your way. Once you have accepted the Lord as your savior you have made a commitment for life to the Lord. There are many problems that we face, but using our problems as an excuse to turn away from the Lord is not a factor. We have made a commitment to stay with the Lord no matter what. jesus is my savior, I shall not be moved!
Rita and I have been reading the book of Job and with all of Job's problems he never charged God foolishly. He showed a steadfast love for the Lord when all of his friends and family turned against him. They thought that he should reject the Lord, or there must be sin in his life. Job's wife even told him to curse God and die.
This mental attack was harder on Job than the physical attack. The boils and the physical pain Job could handle, but the constant barrage from family and friends was making Job weary.
