Aaron5 Cressey (Michael4, Jonathan3, Mighill2, Mighill1) was born in Groton, Mass., in 1762, married in 1789 Elizabeth Wright of Chesterfield, New Hampshire. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, and in 1780 he was at West Point and a "Life Guard" of General Benedict Arnold when he deserted the U.S. Army. Sometime after he returned home he moved to Jamaica, Vermont, where he died in 1824 at 62. |
