Rev. Charles H.7 Cressey (Joseph6, Joseph5, John4, Daniel3, John2, Mighill1)
Born November 21, 1817 in Gorham, Maine, married:
(1) 1840 Sarah Anderson of Windham, who died in 1851 at 29.
(2) 1853 Emeline Anderson (Sarah's sister)
He was educated in the public schools, Gorham Academy, and Whitestown Theological Seminary, New York Baptist, held several pastorates in Maine and later settled on the old homestead farm formerly owned by his great-grandfather, near the old fort on Fort Hill. He died in 1872 at 55. his widow died in 1923 in her 91st year.

Herbert Beecher8 Cressey born May 29, 1856, married 1884 Ella Warren, Hopkinton, Massachusetts. He was educated in the public schools of Gorham, spent his early life on the old farm, being the 5th generation. When about 19 he went to Boston, Massachusetts, where he lived 23 years. Worked on horse cars, in grocery store, and was engaged with the American Securities Corporation. In 1907 he returned to Gorham, and died in 1911 in 55th year.

Julia F.8 (Cressey) Clement born February 6, 1858, married 1897 Charles Clement of West Gorham. She died in 1905 in 48th year. He died in 1909 at 60.

Hattie P.8 Cressey born July 28, 1860. Baxter Museum, 67 South St, Gorham, ME

942 IV.

Guy R. P.8 Cressey born November 12, 1862, married in 1892 Hattie Whitney daughter of Frank and Rose (Harmon) Whitney of Standish, Maine, formerly Buxton. Educated in public schools. He lived and died on the old farm, January 3, 1905. She died March 20, 1907.

Raymond J.9 Cressey born January 15, 1893, married in 1924 Lucille Parsons. He was educated in the public schools of Gorham, Maine, and later learned the trade of pattern maker and works at the Portsmouth-Kittery Navy Yard.

Marion E.9 (Cressey) Buck born December 24, 1899, married August 1, 1932, Charles U. Buck of Front Royal, Virginia. He is a salesman for a commission merchant in Washington, D. C. She attended Gorham Grammar School, graduated at Hebron Academy, 1918, attended Framingham Normal School, Massachusetts, took a special course in institutional Management at Simmons College, Boston. Occupation, dietitian.
