Dr. Alonzo⁶ Cressey (Hezekiah⁵, Joseph⁴, Daniel³, John², Mighill¹) was born November 26, 1808 probably in Salem, New Hampshire, married December 1829, Sophia M. Smith daughter of Dr. Justin Smith of Lima, New York, where Dr. Cressey practiced medicine for several years after college and medical course gave him the degree of M.D. About 1845 he moved to Hillsdale, Michigan. He died in 1881 in 73^rd year. She died in 1882 in 71^st year.

Justin Smith⁷ born Lima, New York, 1830, married in 1856 Hattie E. Stevens of Pittsfield, Mass. He died probably in the army at Washington, D. C., in 1862.

Frances J. born Lima, New York, 1837, married in 1864 Rodney G. Wilbur of New York. He died 1892 in 60th year.

Mary I. born Lima, New York, 1841, married in Michigan 1862, Captain Jesse B. Fuller, son of Judge Fuller of Vermont. In 1861 he raised a Battery of 6 guns and 136 men enlisted for 3 years. Later it was Battery D, 1st Michigan Regiment, Light Artillery. He served on General Alger's staff and under General Thomas; was at Pittsburg Landing, Stone River, Chickamauga, where his battery lost 5 guns. In Fort Nagley, Chattanooga, he was in battles at Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge. He was brevetted Lieutenant-Colonel and mustered out in 1865; a prominent Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) man.
His wife died in September 1867, in 25^th year.

Carrie A. born Hillsdale, Michigan in 1849, married in 1873 Captain Jesse B. Fuller by Rev. Frank B. Cressey of Detroit, Michigan.
