Dr. Alonzo6 Cressey (Hezekiah5, Joseph4, Daniel3, John2, Mighill1) was born November 26, 1808 probably in Salem, New Hampshire, married December 1829, Sophia M. Smith daughter of Dr. Justin Smith of Lima, New York, where Dr. Cressey practiced medicine for several years after college and medical course gave him the degree of M.D. About 1845 he moved to Hillsdale, Michigan. He died in 1881 in 73rd year. She died in 1882 in 71st year. |

Mary I.
born Lima, New York, 1841, married in Michigan 1862,
Captain Jesse B. Fuller, son of Judge Fuller of Vermont.
In 1861 he raised a Battery of 6 guns and 136 men enlisted
for 3 years. Later it was Battery D, 1st Michigan Regiment,
Light Artillery. He served on General Alger's staff and
under General Thomas; was at Pittsburg Landing, Stone River,
Chickamauga, where his battery lost 5 guns. In Fort Nagley,
Chattanooga, he was in battles at Lookout Mountain and
Missionary Ridge. He was brevetted Lieutenant-Colonel and
mustered out in 1865; a prominent
Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) man.
