Ebenezer6 Cressey (Joseph5, John4, Daniel3, John2, Mighill1) was born in Pomfret, Connecticut, January 16, 1779, married 1803 Sally Chick, Berwick, Maine. He came to Gorham, Maine, with his parents when a child. About 1803 he bought a farm in Gorham, 30-acre lot, No. 38. This farm later owned by his son, Alvin, and then by his granddaughter, Martha E., who married ex-Governor Frederick Robie. Eben and wife were members First Parish Church. He died in 1829 at 50. She died in 1863 at 79. |
