Ebenezer6 Cressey (Joseph5, John4, Daniel3, John2, Mighill1) was born in Pomfret, Connecticut, January 16, 1779, married 1803 Sally Chick, Berwick, Maine. He came to Gorham, Maine, with his parents when a child. About 1803 he bought a farm in Gorham, 30-acre lot, No. 38. This farm later owned by his son, Alvin, and then by his granddaughter, Martha E., who married ex-Governor Frederick Robie. Eben and wife were members First Parish Church. He died in 1829 at 50. She died in 1863 at 79.

John R., born 1814, unmarried. He kept store at Salmon Falls, New Hampshire., speculated in Boston and said to be worth $100,000. He attended Gorham Academy, taught town school and singing school. Willed niece, Martha E., large amount, gave Gorham Library $1,000; died in Boston in 1892 at 78.
