Born 1818 in Buxton, Maine, married 1858 Sarah Palmer, daughter of
Andrew Palmer of Hollis, by Reverend I. R. Cook.
He was educated in the public schools, worked at farming, heading
business, drove a team of 4 oxen to Portland for several years
before any railroad was built in town. In 1859 he bought a farm in
Hollis, where he lived the rest of his days. He was an independent
farmer, and highly respected; member Free Baptist Church. He died
1899 in 82nd year. She died 1918 in
84th year.

Born February 23, 1863, married:
(1) 1878 Lewis Swan of Hollis
(2) 1883 Freeman Hanson of Hollis, farmer, inventor, and deputy
sheriff of York County. He died 1918.
She died February 5, 1934, at 71.

Clifford Hanson, born July 17, 1883, married June 25, 1913,
Mary Ethel Reilly, born June 18, 1884, in Buffalo, New York.
She attended Buffalo schools and business college. He
attended Hollis graded schools and graduated at Hollis High
in 1902. They both have a talent for music. He has played
in the Bar Mills Band, and other bands and orchestras. He
is a machine tool builder for a motor car company, member
Highland Park Lodge, Free Masons. Lived in Michigan since
1917.
