Susan M.⁷ Cressey Sturgis (James⁶, John W.⁵, John M.⁴, Daniel³, John², Mighill¹)
Born 1820 in Buxton, Maine, married in 1843 William P. Sturgis, Gorham. He was a fox hunter, trapper, blacksmith and farmer, was Corporal in Company K, 9^th Regiment, Maine Infantry, wounded in action and taken to hospital in Civil War. In 1871 they moved to Walla walla, Washington, where he was engaged in sheep raising. They both died in 1902 at 84 and 84.

Helen M. Sturgis Legrow born 1844, married 1868 Asa S. Legrow, Portland, Maine and Oregon.

Samuel P. Sturgis, born 1856, married 1880 Lina H. Hartman, Weston, Oregon. He served as cashier First National Bank, Pendleton, Oregon. He died in 1896 at 40.
