Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, in 1847.
Married Ella F. Presby.
He was educated in the public schools, then went to Springfield,
Illinois, where he worked for the Wabash Railroad. Later he
came to Boston and worked for his brother, M. D. Cressey, in the
fruit teaming business, and then in the same business for
himself until 1904, when he sold out and moved to the old
homestead farm in Bradford, New Hampshire. He served as
Representative from Bradford in 1908-1909

Married in 1902 Helen B. Putnam of Contoocook, New Hampshire.
He was educated in the public schools of Boston, Massachusetts,
and High School at Warner, New Hampshire, while living with his
grandfather, Deacon Greeley M. Cressey,
at Bradford, New Hampshire. In 1896 he went to Boston and
worked for his uncle,
Myron D. Cressey and Company, in the
fruit teaming business as bookkeeper at 111 S. Market Street,
Boston. He lived in Somerville, Massachusetts where his
children were born:
