Born April 23, 1844 in Buxton, Maine, married
(1) 1870 Susan F. Foss, daughter of Job Foss of Biddeford, Maine.
She died October 2, 1903 at 58. Member Free Baptist Church.
(2) 1906 Annie B. McLanathan, daughter of Samuel McLanathan of
Gorham, Maine, formerly of Andover, Massachusetts.
He attended public schools of Buxton, left home when a boy and
went to work at Bridgton. In the spring of 1865 he enlisted in
Company I, 12th Maine Regiment, Volunteer Infantry, for one year;
stationed at Savannah, Brunswick, and other places in Georgia.
He worked at Dana's Cotton Mill in Westbrook and the Pepperell
Cotton Mill in Biddeford. Lived in Buxton on a farm until 1890
when he bought a place in Gorham Village, where he lived for 29
years. He was well-to-do. Died July 7, 1919, at 75; widow died
in 1934.

Cressey born May 1, 1872, in Dayton, Maine.
Married June 4, 1896, Carrie Drown, daughter of Alonzo Drown of
Gorham, Maine, born September 15, 1874.
He graduated at Buxton High School in the first class, 1890,
Shaw's Business College, Portland, 1891. He was assistant
bookkeeper for F. O. Bailey Company, Portland, served as
Alderman of Westbrook, Captain Sons of Veterans' Camp, and State
Commander Maine Division, also National Commander-in-Chief.
He was employed by Ansel H. Porter, grocer, at Westbrook, 16
years. Served as secretary and director of the Maine Wholesale
and Retail Grocers' Association. Some years ago he formed a
Partnership in the grocery business with Frank Graffam, under
the firm name Cressey & Graffam. He and his wife are members of
First Parish Church, Gorham, Maine
