Born January 25, 1866, in Collinsville, Illinois.
Married December 6, 1888 in Troy, Illinois Emma Goalby of English descent.
He was educated at High School, Rockburn College, and McCormick Seminary, graduated 1898. Taught school for several years. Pastor of Presbyterian churches at Ashton, Jacksonville, Hillsboro, El Paso, Mattoon, Wenona, Illinois, Erie and Corry, Pennsylvania. In 1935, pastor at Henry, Illinois.

Lucretia9 Cressey born September 16, 1889, in Moro, Illinois.
She graduated at Jacksonville, Illinois, High School and University of Illinois, with honors. Masters from Columbia University, New York. She taught for 7 years at Monticello Seminary, Godfrey, Illinois.

Paul Goalby9 Cressey born September 16, 1900, in Franklin Grove, Illinois.
Married December 29, 1932, at his father's home, Germaine Poreau, a native of France. She is a teacher in Montclair, New Jersey at Teachers' College.
He graduated at Oberlin College. Masters from Chicago University (on book "Taxi Dance Hall"). In 1935 he was in New York University under "Payne Foundation" preparing book on "The Movies."
